Executive Director Dr. Nancy Gee was featured in an article by the NT Bureau titled Elders Owning Pet Dogs can Stay Active, Says Study

In the article Dr. Gee said that results from research completed by Waltham Center for Pet Nutrition, UK indicated that dog ownership may plan an important role in encouraging older aldults to walk more. When tallied, dog owners who aged 65 and older walked an additional 22 minutes and took an additional 2,760 steps per day.
