Petco Foundation's Helping Heroes Grant supports The Center for Human-Animal Interaction for a second year

March 2, 2018

We are honored to receive a $7,500 investment for the second year to help extend our efforts and serve the Petco Foundation's mission to raise the quality of life for pets and people who love and need them through our Dogs On Call therapy dog program. Through this support, our therapy dogs will be able to continue bringing joy and comfort to patients and staff at VCU Health and in the Richmond community.

Dogs On Call therapy dog Kepler, a leonberger who is wearing a blue Dogs On Call vest, receives neck scratches from a smiling friend in a chair. Kepler is leaning back in contentment and a patient sitting beside Kepler is smiling and also petting Kepler's head.
