Petco Foundation's Helping Heroes Grant supports The Center for Human-Animal Interaction

February 24, 2017

We are thrilled to be recognized by the Petco Foundation for our work with therapy animals! A $20,000 grant will help support therapy dog visitation at VCU Medical Center by helping us expand our program, Dogs On Call, to benefit children and adults hospitalized at VCU Medical Center along with their families and hospital team members. We will be able to increase the number of volunteer therapy dog teams from the community, and bring Dogs On Call to new areas of VCU Medical Center. To learn more about how the Petco Foundation is making life better for pets and the people who love them through partners like The Center for Human-Animal Interaction at VCU Health, please visit: petcofoundation.org.
