Pups on the Plaza 2016

September 29, 2016

The 4th annual Pups on the Plaza event brought members of the VCU, VCU Health, and greater Richmond community together for an afternoon of food, fun and a ceremony acknowledging community partners. Dogs On Call teams visited with students, patients, VCU Health staff, and attendees from the community, and hot dogs, chips and drinks were served. The event is a primary fundraiser for The Center for Human-Animal Interaction, a non profit 501 (c)(3) Center of the VCU School of Medicine.

Event t-shirts were available for sale and featured a design by Erin Forgit, an undergraduate VCU Arts student. Drs. Mark and Kelly Gottschalk were selected to receive The Center's Community Excellence Award in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the community in promoting the importance of the human-animal bond. Photographer Jordan Vance was also honored for his service to The Center.
